The honor will be presented at a ceremony during the annual meeting of the Confederation of Ohio Conference of Teacher Educator Organizations on March 5 in Columbus.

The Ohio Association of Teacher Educators (OATE) is a professional association open to all who work with the preparation of teachers in any environment —higher education, public and private P-12 schools, state departments of education, regional centers, etc. The focus of the organization is on the interdependence of the educational system.

The Academy of World Languages is a magnet program which offers k-8 foreign language instruction in Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. AWL’s student body includes students from more than 40 countries around the world. As a community learning center, support and enrichment partners include a school based health center, mental health professionals, a parent support team, and a comprehensive extended day and summer program. Foreign language classes are available in the evening to the community as well as English as a second language.
