Cincinnati Community Learning Centers, the city’s community school initiative is once again making major headlines in education media circles. Education Daily wrote a front page story Feb. 19 on the initiative, its impact, and the way the city has been able to structure and scale up the initiative district-wide.
The story was based on a webinar the Coalition for Community Schools hosted featuring leaders from Oyler Community Learning Center, a community school in the city’s Lower Price Hill neighborhood. The school features a cutting-edge vision center, health clinic, a day care center for infants and toddlers, and a host of other services and partnerships.
