The Academy of World Languages, a CLCI community learning center, hosted its annual International Festival on May 16 with more than 2500 people in attendance including students, families and the community. The event is intended to showcase the rich language and cultural program at AWL which offers Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Russian as well as English language instruction to an international study body from more than 50 countries. A feature of the Festival is a parade of nations with the students dressed in costumes native to their home countries marching with their flags. In addition, the Festival serves as a celebration and inspiration for multiculturalism with professional groups from a dozen different countries performing throughout the day.
