More than 500 cyclists organized by Word Play, an AWL partner, rode their bikes to the Academy of World Languages on May 11 to deliver 10 books to every child at AWL. “Every child at AWL will have their own library,” said Principal Jackie Rowedder. Organizer Libby Hunter of Word Play described the cheering students awaiting the riders and their anticipated books. “It’s like a rock concert,” said Hunter.
