CLCI’s Director of Research and Evaluation Kate Eisenpress was a presenter at the National School-Based Health Care Convention, together with CLCI’s partners from the Cincinnati Health Department and Cincinnati Early Learning Centers, Inc. This convention is the premier national gathering for school-based health care professionals and partners respresenting more than 3000 school based health centers nationwide.
The panel discussed their work on the expansion of the school-based health partnerships at Oyler Community Learning Center in Cincinnati, including primary care, vision, dental, and mental health services, to children 0-5 years of age. Extending community learning centers to serve as hubs for early childhood is a key focus area for the Community Learning Center Institute and is one of the few models in the country which include a dedicated early childhood resource coordinator.
