The school is often a key factor in selecting a place to live. How do we maximize our engagement with our schools to benefit community revitalization? Adelyn Hall, Director of Housing and Neighborhood Development at the Community Learning Center Institute, and Liz Blume, Executive Director of the Community Building Institute, will discuss how Community Development Corporations and Schools can partner for mutual benefit. Transformation of Cincinnati Public Schools into community learning centers began in 2001, with the mission to create the conditions for learning and be a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization. Our speakers will talk about the role of community learning centers in Cincinnati, as well as the interconnection of education, planning and development currently underway in our Cincinnati neighborhoods.
