Oyler High School, one of CLCI’s flagship community learning centers, has been ranked by the U.S. News and World Report as the 5th best high school among the schools in Cincinnati Public. Oyler is the only neighborhood high school in the top 5.
The class of 2021 will be Oyler’s 12th graduating class since the neighborhood’s advocacy to add a high school to the historic elementary school in the predominantly urban Appalachian community of Lower Price Hill. Before the high school started, only 85% of the students graduating from Oyler’s 8th grade made it to a 10th grade seat. Since the addition of the high school and a comprehensive set of partnerships as part of Oyler’s nationally recognized community learning center, the graduation rate has soared. In the year following the U.S. News and World Report ranking, the graduation rate ever higher to 92.5%.
