The Community Learning Center Institute’s School House initiative was featured at Cincinnati City Council’s Healthy Neighborhoods Committee chaired by Vice Mayor Jan Michelle Lemon Kearney on January 11, 2022. Darlene Kamine, CLCI’s Executive Director, and Adelyn Hall, CLCI’s Director of School-Centered Neighborhood Development, presented an overview of CLCI’s groundbreaking work in providing access to affordable homeownership for families as part of the community learning center model.
The Committee voiced enthusiastic support of School House and their support of accessible, affordable homeownership for families. In her comments after the presentation by Kamine and Hall, Council Member Victoria Parks said, “There are so many things to love about this!”
