Cincinnati / March 9, 2022
The Community Learning Center Institute (CLCI) will be presenting at Cincinnati’s 2022 Neighborhood Summit on March 12 at Woodward High School, hosted by Invest in Neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Summit is an annual event which brings together hundreds of community leaders and volunteers, city officials and non-profits in a day long series of seminars and workshops aimed at helping citizens work effectively together to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Last year’s event was attended by over 600 people.

Lifting up Cincinnati Public Schools’ nationally known community learning center model, CLCI will be joining CPS on a panel highlighting the role of partnerships and their impact on learning. Annie Bogenschutz, CLCI’s Director of Training and Development and the first resource coordinator in CPS, will be speaking on the role of the resource coordinator.

CLCI’s innovative leadership of housing and neighborhood development will be featured in a workshop entitled Back to School: School-Centered Neighborhood Development as a Model for Building Equitable Communities

Guided by the philosophy that the success of the school and the success of the neighborhood are inextricably linked, the Community Learning Center Institute (CLCI) is an emerging leader in school-centered neighborhood development, dedicated to improving academic outcomes for children by addressing variables beyond the school house that impact education.

For this session, CLCI will lead a discussion with the Roberts Community Learning Center leadership team about their work to support the advancement of families and the neighborhood with a particular focus on increasing homeownership for Roberts’ families. The panel will be hosted by Adelyn Hall, CLCI’s Director of School-Centered Neighborhood Development, with Tracy Power, CLCI’s Resource Coordinator for Roberts, Antonio Fernandez,CLCI’s Director of the Roberts Welcome Center, Maria Rivera and April Mueller Roberts Early Childhood Partners from Learning Grove, and Alpacino Beauchamp, Principal of Roberts.
