Annie Bogenschutz, Director of Training and Development for the Community Learning Center Institute, was invited by the U.S. Department of Education as part of a select group of practitioners and funders to the Summit on Strengthening Whole Child Communities: Raising the Bar from Cradle to Career on August 1-2, 2024.
The Summit was an opportunity to reimagine how place-based approaches to education and community development can strengthen cradle-to-career continuums for our students and families.
Bogenschutz has been a leader in the development of the community learning centers in Cincinnati for more than 20 years. She was the first resource coordinator in Cincinnati Public Schools and her community learning center received the first Award of Excellence from the Coalition for Community Schools. She joined the Community Learning Center Institute in 2012. Bogenschutz is a national leader and frequent trainer for community schools across the country, the American Federation of Teachers, the Coalition for Community Schools, and the U.S. Department of Education.
