P.G. Sittenfeld, 27, is assistant director of Community Learning Center Institute, a group that’s striving to transform public school facilities into hubs of educational, recreational and civic partnerships. He is also running for Cincinnati City Council.
Q: What part of your current job do you enjoy the most?
By helping turn schools into community learning centers, what we’re really doing is revitalizing neighborhoods and creating a sense of community cohesiveness using the school as the centerpiece. It’s very affirming when I see the schools that we work with bustling with activities in the afternoons and evenings, and supporting not just students, but also families and the broader community.
